2024 Duca di Salaparuta, Sicilia DOC, Nero d’Avola (RT90+) Crafted in a lighter, fruitier style, this 100% Nero d’Avola is typically harvested in the first couple weeks of October. It is traditionally vinified and is aged in stainless steel at a controlled temperature until January, followed by a month in bottle. This is an early drinking Nero d’Avola so there is no need to lay it down. Built of delicious ripe fruit, it reveals ripe dusky Ariel plums and Youngberry fruit, has a light mouth feel and a soft finish. A perfect summer refresher that can be served with a slight chill.
