2022 Duca di Salaparuta, Etna Rosso DOC, Lavico (RT93) This is 100% Nerello Mascalese and reveals a pale garnet hue, making it lighter than most Etna Rosso's. With an elegant bouquet the remains light on its feet, notes of ash-driven red cherry liqueur, dried red raspberries, whisps of smokiness and a spoonful of minerality and dried herbs draw the drinker in. The palate is gentle and equally elegant; this is a less-is-more wine that reveals the finesse Etna Rosso's can achieve. Drinks like a Premier Cru Red Burgundy. Drink now-2032 Tasted June 2026
