2022 Duca di Salaparuta, Sicilia DOC, Grillo, Kados (RT92) Crafted from estate-grown fruit originating from the Risignolo vineyards in western Sicily, the grapes are entirely destemmed for this refreshing white and it is then aged in stainless for 3 months and bottled. For such a short aging regime I expected a brighter, fresher style, but here Grillo reveals a deep honey gold hue with a creamy aromatic profile of ripe golden apples, honied brioche, faded white and yellow flowers and a hint a salinity. The palate is soft, round and caressing while the finish delivers a soft gentle breeze if wispy minerality. Drink now 2030 Tasted June 2026
