1996 Poderi Colla, Barolo DOCG, Bussia, Dardi Le Rose (RT96) As this traditionally vinified wine reaches for its 30th birthday, everything has come together in perfect harmony. Tertiary dominance has taken the lead in this wine’s development as its Bussia markers stand proud. Its garnet hue gives way to a magnificent bouquet layered with highly mentholated Morello cherry liqueur, spiced plum, dried rose bouquet, toasted hazelnut, waves of Christmas spice and clouds of limestone dust. The fruit is soft and supple, the acids very 1996 delivering a pronounced and firmly refreshing brightness, the tannin also speaking to the vintage leading to a long finish. This is in a magnificent place, if you prefer tertiary evolution in your Nebbiolo, it will make you smile into the sunset. Drink now-2036 Tasted June 2026
