NV Berlucchi, Franciacorta, Cuvée Imperiale Brut (RT93) The Cuvée Imperiale Brut is a delicious sparkling wine from the Berlucchi family that delivers lightly yeasty bouquet with notes of Babcock peach, Golden Delicious apple, cold butter and white flowers. The palate is gorgeously balanced with generous fruit, fresh acidity and finishes with a slightly sweet note. This is a blend of 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Nero (aka Noir) and is crafted with the Champenois Methode. 10% Reserve wines from previous vintages are blended in and it is aged on lees for a minimum of 18 months, followed by 2 months in bottle prior to release. After disgorgement it retains 8 g/l residual sugar. Drink now and over the coming 3-5 years. Tasted June 2026
