Van Zellers & Co, Ruby Reserve Port (RT91) This impressive and somewhat serious, foot crushed Ruby Port is built on a solid foundation of black cherry, blackberry liqueur, mocha and hints of baking spices. Full, round and mouth-coating with ripe, overly fruit and excellent, bright acidity. This thoughtfully crafted ruby is ready to enjoy tonight and over the next 3-6+ years, perhaps a bit longer if cellared in proper conditions. This bottling was previously labeled “Ruby Port” and recently had the “Reserve” moniker added, but it is essentially the same wine.
