2022 Adelsheim, Pinot Noir, Ribbon Ridge, Ribbon Springs Vineyard (RT95) Mentholated notes of black cherry reduction sauce, ripe Ariel plums, black raspberry, orange zest, all spice and roasted herbs lead to a savory palate. Delicious, magnificently balanced fruit dominates this wine in its youth, but it will no doubt develop complex tertiary notes with proper cellaring, which I highly suggest. The palate is rewarding and balanced, built on delicious fruit and bright acidity. Sauve, succulent tannins provide a perfect finish to the 2022 Ribbon Springs! Approximately 1/3 new French oak barrels are used, with the balance neutral Franch oak. Ribbon Springs is Adelsheim’s largest vineyard, but only 55 of the 100 acres are planted and contains both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Crafted with 10% whole cluster fermentation, the balance of the gapes were destemmed. This is another in a string of impressive 2022 single vineyard Pinots to lay down in the cellar and behold the magic of cellaring. Drink now-2045+ Tasted October 2025
