2022 Adelsheim, Pinot Noir, Chehalem Mountains, Breaking Ground (RT93+) Showing a deeply nuanced bouquet, fresh notes of black cherry compote, spicey plum liqueur, terroir-driven forest floor, wisps of Christmas spice, dusty alpine flowers and hints of minerality create a backdrop of savoriness. The palate is medium bodied with rich fruit soft acidity and sweet, suave tannins. This is a charismatic glass of Pinot Noir to be savored slowly. The fruit for this wine is sourced from 8 select vineyards in the Chehalem Mountains AVA and more than ¾ of the fruit is estate grown. All three significant soil types found in Chehalem AVA are represented in this bottling: loess, sedimentary and volcanic. This is aged 11 months in French oak, of which only 20% was new, the balance neutral barrels. Drink now-2034+ Tasted October 2025
