2020 Podere Campriano, Chianti Classico DOCG (RT92) Crafted from 100% Sangiovese that is Certified Organic. With its medium ruby hue, notes of Marasca cherry, dried cranberry, scruffy underbrush and smoked meat lead to an earth dusted finish. The palate is mid-weight with mouth coating fruit and bright acidity. Soft tannins bring up the finish. This is an excellent food wine that will pair perfectly with heart red sauce pastas, grilled steaks and Italian sausages. Drink now-2030 Tasted October 2025
Podere Campriano is a small, family owned winery in Greve, in the heart of Chianti Classico. The vineyards were planted in 1997 and total a modest 1.5 hectare. Wine makers Elena Lapinii and Luca Polga focus on crafting a pure expression of Sangiovese that’s aged in a combination of long use 10 hl oak botti and 5 – 7 hl tonneaux. The wine is finished with 10-12 months aging in stainless steel. This wine is organically certified.
