2018 Mauro Sebaste, Langhe Bianco, Cento Bricchi (RT92) This distinctively unusual white is an expressive, tasty wine from the Team at Mauro Sebaste. Crafted from 100% Viognier, it expresses a delicious, smoky bouquet built on sweet apricot fruit, crushed rock, hints of toasted almond and orange blossom. Full, rich, and round in the mouthfeel with a lovely textural character, delicious fruit, and soft acidity, this is a pretty white that satisfies the soul. Drink now-2026ish
NV Mauro Sebaste, Vino Rosso, 6 Volte 10 (RT93) A rare, small production bottling with a mere 1550 bottles filled. Deep, dark, and nearly impenetrable, it reveals a sumptuous, soft, and highly approachable persona with notes of black berry, dusty dried currants, hints of leather, musk, porcini’s, and tilled earth. Beautiful balance of ripe fruit, hints of soft spicy ripe tannins and gentle acidity complete the mouthfeel. This is a super-delicious wine that’s drinking exceptionally well right now and over the coming years. Drink now-2028+

2013 Mauro Sebaste, Barolo, Prapo (RT95) This has long been one of my favorite Sebaste bottlings and in this great vintage it truly excelled. Medium ruby with a hint of garnet around the rim, it expresses a captivating bouquet built on a spicy, soaring character as notes of fresh strawberry, cranberry, cinnamon, brown sugar and Asian spices waft from the glass. With time in the glass it becomes more complex. The mouthfeel is perfectly balanced with slightly sweet, succulent fruit, beautiful bright and fresh acidity, and ripe tannin providing the punctuation mark. A magnificent wine that expresses itself right out of the bottle and only improves with time in the glass. Followed over the course of three days, this just kept getting better. Drink 2025-2040
