NV J. Lassalle, Champagne, Brut Rose, Premier Cru, Chigny-Les-Roses (RT93) Another shining star the first Grower Champagne house imported to the states in 1982, this bottling is a blend of 70% Pinot Noir, 15% Chardonnay and 15% Munier. With its pale terra cotta hue and sublime aromatics, the NV Lassalle Brut Rose is an enchanting elixir given its competitive price and superb craftsmanship in the category. Staying light on its feet, ethereal notes of delicious red raspberry, cranberry, tangerine and hints of minerality adorn this lovely champagne. As it warms a bit in the glass the aromatics turn a bit deeper, showing its depth of fruit, yet it remains light on its feet. The palate is nimble and carefully measured, this is not a heavy weight, masculine rose, but rather stays feminine and elegant throughout. I find this an exceptional rose that exemplifies the sophistication of J. Lassalle’s wonderful winemaking team. Drink now-2030
