2020 Poggerino, Toscana Rosso, Il Labirinto (RT91) A fine vintage for this tasty wine from the folks at Poggerino. This wine over-delivers for the price point, a pure expression of Sangiovese that’s aged in concrete for 10 months, allowing the Sangiovese to sparkle. It reflects a pale ruby hue, a quality I adore in Sangiovese, and shows delicate aromas of sweet red raspberry, Morello cherry, spiced cranberry compote and is packed with Tuscan scruff and hints of dried leaves.
