2019 Torremilanos, Ribera del Duero, Los Cantos (RT92+) Embracing ecological & biodynamic agriculture, the newly released 2019 vintage of Los Cantos, a blend of Tempranillo with a pinch of Merlot is aged in used oak for just over a year. The balance here is excellent and the wonderfully ripe fruit, buttressed by fresh acidity and a sweet tannic finish, adds to the delicious presentation. It would appear that the 5% Merlot changes the character enough to create its Bordeaux-esque persona. Quite an attractive package, this is yet another in a string of enchanting Los Cantos vintages.
