1999 Conti Costanti, Brunello di Montalcino (RT94) Costanti’s aromatics speak with great authority, showing a wine of impressive pedigree and finesse. Age has been good to this ’99 as layers of earth driven aromatics waft from the glass with red stone fruit underlying layers of porcini, leather and dusty florals which combine with a seamless palate feel and super fine grained tannins. This is clearly in its prime drinking window, making it an excellent candidate for drinking now and over the coming five+ years. Followed over the course of three days, this held up very well, never wavering an iota. Drink 2014-2034+
