2017 Avignonesi, Toscana IGT, Cantaloro (RT91) This work horse blend of 62% Sangiovese, 23% Merlot and 15 % Cabernet Sauvignon is a serious overachiever for the price, delivering a stunning market value! Aged for 18 months in a combination of stainless, Slavonian cask and used barriques. The bouquet leans toward a fresh fruit driven style with attractive opulence of its red berry fruit, Tuscan brush, notes of porcini and a hint of spice.
