2017 Avignonesi, Toscana IGT, Cantaloro Bianco (RT91) A house blend of Grechetto, Trebbiano, a smattering of Chardonnay and a splash of Malvasia, this is another overachieving work horse in the Avignonesi portfolio. Showing a classic Tuscan bouquet of ripe apricot, Meyer lemon, hints of honey suckle and wet, crushed limestone. With its mouthwatering round fruit and soft acidity, this is a wonderful white that seriously overdelivers as both a porch pounder and a food wine.
