2017 Ilatium Morini, Valpolicella Ripasso Superiore DOC, Campo dei Ciliegi(RT92+) A classic blend of 70% Corvina and Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, 10% Croatina and other varieties. This more structured rendition of Valpol is aged in 350 liter neutral oak barrels for 12-15 months, followed by 6 months in bottle prior to release. Medium ruby red, subtle notes of dark cheery, plum, brambles, hints of Fall dried fruits and a whiff of smoke dominate the bouquet. The palate shows medium density fruit, fresh acidity and soft, pliable tannins. This leans toward a semi-modern style of valpolicella. Drink now-2027+
