2016 Ilatium Morini, Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, Campo Leon (RT 93+) Containing the classic Amarone varieties of 70% Corvina and Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, 10% Croatina and Oseleta. Upon harvest the grapes are dried for 100-120 days, followed by a 20-30 day fermentation, then aged in barrique and tonneaux for 30 months. The house style is a bit more fresh fruit driven than more traditionally repassed Amarone, but there is much to enjoy here. Dark, full ruby garnet with nores of black cherry, dusty dark red plums, fried Fall fruits and sous bois. The palate is equally fresh and bright, showing excellent structure, vivacious acidity, and ripe tannins. This will be interesting to see how it evolves. Drink now-2036
